Iannone finds that Friday feeling

Late charge, anyone? 'Maniac' makes up 15 places in FP3

The situation on Thursday wasn't looking great for Andrea Iannone (Team Suzuki Ecstar), but that all changed in one roll of the throttle as the Italian blasted up the timesheets near the end of FP3 and Friday brought a better feeling. Down in P17, the 'Maniac' then shot up to second - demoting reigning Champion Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) to P3.

AI29, P2: “This morning came back to the first Suzuki I tried, and step by step and lap by lap the feeling came back. That’s very important for us. This afternoon we tried two different bikes. At the end I changed and chose the last setting, and the feeling continued to improve. I think this is the result. I think the most important is the race and we want to improve in this area, but with the soft tyres the bike has a good character. It’s important we improve the rear grip in the last part of the corner – because on corner entry, I think it’s the best bike on track. So we’ll focus on the rear for tomorrow and try to improve.”
