Nakagami ahead of the game in FP1

Japanese rider six tenths clear as action opens Down Under

Takaaki Nakagami (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) went quickest in FP1 at the Australian GP, putting in a run of fast laps towards the end of the session to take over at the top and then remain untouchable. Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team) and Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo) completed the top three.

Sandro Cortese (Dynavolt Intact GP) was one crasher - rider ok - and Championship leader Franco Morbidelli (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) also suffered a run off.
