Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar) made good on his promise shown so far on Saturday at the Malaysia GP by topping Q1, moving through to Q2 alongside Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing). Danilo Petrucci (Octo Pramac Racing) was the man who just missed out.
Espargaro was one who suffered a crash, as well as a tip off for Michael van der Mark (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) - the Dutchman's only crash so far in an impressive weekend replacing Jonas Folger.
