スチュワートパネルは公式予選後、公式予選２で５番手の鈴木竜生と６番手のニッコロ・アントネッリが公式予選２でピットレーンが閉じているときに表示される赤信号とレッドフラッグを無視してコースに進入したことから、セッション中の最速時計がキャンセルされ、グリッドポジションは２番時計を適用することを発表。それぞれ９番グリッドと１８番グリッドに降格することになれば、公式予選１で１０番手だったジャン・オンジュは、フリー走行３の低速走行によりグリッドを１２つ降格することから、最後尾３１番グリッドからスタートすることになった。
