Three-time Moto2 podium finisher and former European Moto2 championship runner-up Xavi Vierge will join a two-rider PETRONAS Sprinta Racing line-up for 2020, in the squad’s third year of contesting the Moto2 World Championship.
Vierge, 22, from Barcelona, Spain, was most recently on the podium in Argentina and Australia last season where he finished second and third respectively. Next year will be his fifth full season of Moto2 on the international stage.
The 2020 Moto2 season will get underway in March next year, with the opening round at the Qatar Grand Prix provisionally scheduled for 8th March.

We know it’s been a tough Moto2 season for us in 2019 and we’re hoping that Khairul Idham Pawi will be fully recovered and racing alongside Xavi next season.”
