Migno remains fastest in Moto3™ as Lopez tops a sodden FP3

WWR’s Andrea Migno leads the way into qualifying thanks to his fastest lap in the dry on Friday

Estrella Galicia 0,0’s Alonso Lopez ended a wet Moto3™ FP3 session at the Gran Premio Michelin® de Aragon fastest as the lightweight class geared up for what looks likely to be a wet qualifying day at MotorLand Aragon. The young Spaniard ended a tenth of a second clear of VNE Snipers’ Tony Arbolino and a further two tenths ahead of Sterilgarda Max Racing Team's Aron Canet.

After ending Friday 16th on the combined timesheets, Canet, currently second in the World Championship, will have to go through Q1 later today with nobody, unsurprisingly, improving on their lap times. BOE Skull Rider Mugen Race’s Makar Yurchenko and Jaume Masia (WWR) rounded out the top five.

But as a result of yesterday, it will be Andrea Migno (WWR) who leads the way into qualifying, despite a crash in FP3, ahead of San Marino GP winner Tatsuki Suzuki (SIC58 Squadra Corse), Arbolino, Masia and Petronas Sprinta Racing’s Ayumu Sasaki.

Tune in for the first lightweight class qualifying session at 12:35 local time (GMT+2) - will it be wet, or will it be dry?

Combined Free Practice times:
1. Andrea Migno (WWR) 1:58.566
