Team Suzuki Ecstar's Alex Rins and Aspar Team's Albert Arenas have been lapping at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao as the pair's 2020 season restart preparations continue to ramp up. The pair have been regularly visiting the Circuit de Barcelona - Catalunya but, due to bad weather forecast around Barcelona this week, the usual four hour test was cancelled meaning the pair were able to pack up their truck and head to the south of Portugal.
Rins, riding a Suzuki GSX-1000R Superbike, and Arenas, riding a Yamaha R6 Supersport, were treated to beautiful weather at the Portuguese circuit and were able to get in a full day of riding. The two-time MotoGP™ race winner looks set to start his 2020 campaign in Jerez in around a month, whilst Arenas has a Championship lead to try and defend once the season gets back underway after the Spaniard won the opening round of the year in Qatar.
