Nagashima leads Triumph Triple Trophy chase

Alongside leading the Moto2™ World Championship, the Red Bull KTM Ajo man sits at the top of the Triumph Triple Trophy standings

Red Bull KTM Ajo's Tetsuta Nagashima currently leads the way in the Triumph Triple Trophy standings after two rounds of the Moto2™ World Championship. The Japanese rider, alongside leading the intermediate class title chase, has collected 10 points thanks to setting the fastest lap of the race in both the Qatar and Spanish Grands Prix.

Four riders are currently three points adrift of Nagashima, with Marcel Schrotter (Liqui Moly Intact GP), Marcos Ramirez (Tenner American Racing), Enea Bastianini (Italtrans Racing Team) and Marco Bezzecchi (SKY Racing Team VR46) all tied on seven points after the quartet set the fastest speed through the speed traps during either the Losail or Jerez races.

Riders will pick up seven points for setting the fastest speed during the race on their Triumph 765 powered Moto2™ machines, whilst also collecting six points for pole position and five for the fastest lap of the race.
