Crutchlow undergoes surgery, fitness test Thursday

The LCR Honda Castrol rider revealed on Instagram that he’d had an arm pump operation recently ahead of the first Misano race

Ahead of the Gran Premio Lenovo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda Castrol) has confirmed – via graphic pictures and videos on his Instagram page – that he has undergone right arm pump surgery.

It’s the second time this season the British rider has undergone surgery. Crutchlow crashed heavily in Warm Up at the Spanish GP which left him with a fractured left scaphoid, which has plagued his 2020 campaign since. And, in Andalucia a week later, Crutchlow mentioned that he was suffering from arm pump in his right arm, the HRC rider pitted and then returned to the track during the race because of the issue.

Now though, Crutchlow has undergone surgery on his right forearm ahead of the first Misano weekend, with the number 35 aiming to pass a fitness test on Thursday afternoon to be declared fit for Round 6 of the MotoGP™ World Championship.
