LCR Castrol Honda's Cal Crutchlow has been declared unfit for the remainder of the Lenovo San Marino and Rimini Riviera Grand Prix following another medical check on Saturday morning. The British rider went under the knife earlier in the week for arm pump surgery, however, complications following the surgery have resulted in him having to withdraw from the weekend's action.

After this morning’s medical check, Cal Crutchlow has been declared unfit for this weekend’s #SanMarinoGP due to secondary side effects following the surgery on his forearm.
It continues an extremely frustrating 2020 MotoGP™ World Championship for the three-time race winner after his season started with a broken scaphoid in Warm-Up at the Spanish Grand Prix. The 34-year-old then underwent surgery to rectify the broken scaphoid and rode at the Andalucian Grand Prix just a handful of days later.
He was committed to doing the same this weekend, but excess fluid from the arm as a result of the arm pump surgery has forced him out of the weekend.
Speaking to MotoGP™ pitlane reporter Simon Crafar, LCR Honda Team Manager Lucio Cecchinello said: "As you know he had surgery on his right arm and there was production of a lot of fluid inside of the arm which is quite uncommon, unfortunately.
"There was a serious risk of infection so Dr. Charte visited him this morning and he decided to declare Cal unfit and we, of course, have to understand the situation. The most important thing is that Cal fully recovers and can be back as soon as possible."
