The MotoGP™ Championship returns this weekend following a short break, and the riders head for the famous French racing town of Le Mans for the SHARK Helmets Grand Prix de France for the first of another triple header of race weekends.
It will be a home Grand Prix for Championship leader Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) as he seeks to back up his victory in the Catalan GP with another strong performance, in the hope of extending his lead atop the overall standings.
Press Conferences will kick-off the weekend’s festivities on Thursday, October 8th at 17:00 (GMT+2). The MotoGP™ riders taking to the media will be Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT), Pecco Bagnaia (Pramac Racing), Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar), Johann Zarco (Esponsorama Racing), Joan Mir (Team Suzuki Ecstar) and Moto2™’s Jorge Martin (Red Bull KTM Ajo).
We will have to wait until Friday to see some on-track action, however, where Moto3™ will begin the weekend’s action with FP1 at 09:00, which will then be followed by MotoGP™ at 09:55. MotoE™ also returns to the fray and their first Free Practice session will open up the afternoon runs at 12.30. Later in the afternoon will see the premier class hit the tarmac again for a second practice run at 14:10. The action ends at 16:40 when MotoE™ finish up their second session.
Saturday sees the battle for pole positions begin, with E-Pole beginning at 11:45 before Moto3™ starts the first Q1 of the day at 12:35. The premier class will begin their qualifying runs at 14:10, following their FP4 race pace tests. Moto2™ racers will then slog it out in qualifying at 15:10. The first race of the weekend to whet the appetite begins at 16:20, with MotoE™ hitting the tarmac as the World Cup enters the most crucial stage of the year.
Sunday sees a feast of racing, with the other three classes starting Warm Up sessions at 09:00 before Moto3™ gives us our first competitive action of the day at 11:20. It is then the turn of the premier class as lights out for MotoGP™ is at 13:00 in what is sure to be another thrilling entry to the 2020 season, and if that isn’t enough to fill you, Moto2™ sees their race begin at 14:30 while Race 2 in MotoE™ at 15:40 complete’s the weekend’s action.
