Several Grand Prix stars head to Catalunya for testing

A selection of MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™ riders have gathered in Barcelona for a day of track action

A bunch of Grand Prix stars are gathered at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Wednesday the 24th of February for a day of track action, as the Qatar Tests edge ever closer.

The likes of reigning World Champion Joan Mir and Team Suzuki Ecstar teammate Alex Rins are in Barcelona, and they’re joined by premier class counterparts Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team), Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP), Pol Espargaro (Repsol Honda Team), Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini), Johann Zarco (Pramac Racing), Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda Idemitsu) and Alex Marquez (LCR Honda Castrol).

Some familiar Moto2™ and Moto3™ names are also in attendance. Remy Gardner and Red Bull KTM Ajo teammate Raul Fernandez will be spinning laps, with reigning Moto3™ World Champion Albert Arenas (Aspar Team Moto2) and Marcos Ramirez (Tennor American Racing) making up the Moto2™ numbers. Moto3™’s Jaume Masia (Red Bull KTM Ajo) joins his colleagues on track too, with former Grand Prix riders Tito Rabat, Dominique Aegerter and Ana Carrasco also taking part in the test. 

The riders will all be on road bikes under the Spanish sunshine, building up their bike fitness before most jet off to Qatar for the Official Tests.
