If you aren’t aware, the award-winning TBTM campaign is where fans are invited to set up their bike for a MotoGP™ race every Grand Prix. What’s more, they are able to compare their setup to an actual MotoGP™ mechanic and receive a customised bike configuration to share on their social media channels.
Before each Grand Prix, the user is asked how they would set up the bike for that particular circuit. Fans can change up to five elements of the bike and can choose from drop-down options. Then, during the post-race week, a highlights package is released which includes a mechanic or crew chief explaining how they would have set up the bike.
So how do fans get involved? Well, entries open on the Monday pre-GP (you can get involved HERE), fans then submit their bike set-up entry before midnight on Sunday after the race, with DHL and MotoGP™ then releasing an edit on social media featuring race highlights and a MotoGP™ mechanic speaking about the track, and how key elements of the bike need to be adjusted accordingly. The mechanic’s bike set-up is also revealed.
The reason for taking part is simple: the grand prize is a VIP Village pass to a 2022 MotoGP™ round!
Mike Parra, DHL Global Head of Sponsorships and CEO Americas: “We are proud to be recognised by the entire sport industry for the highly collaborative and long-standing partnership we have with Dorna Sports. MotoGP and DHL delivered the Team Behind the Machine campaign to fans when they needed it most. We are delighted with the results so far that earned this coveted Fan Engagement Award amongst some tough competition.”
