Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda Idemitsu) topped a mixed conditions MotoGP™ Warm Up at the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell'Emilia-Romagna, as the Japanese rider set a 1:32.879 to beat polesitter and title chasing Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) by 0.586s. Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team), second on the grid for today’s encounter, was third fastest in the 20-minute stint.

The weather has improved and the sun is shining at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for match point Sunday, but conditions were still quite iffy for MotoGP™ Warm Up. Slick tyres were the way forward, but damp patches remained on track – making it tricky for the riders ahead of a huge race. Franco Morbidelli (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) and Iker Lecuona (Tech3 KTM Factory Racing) rounded out the top five, with World Championship leader Fabio Quartararo not doing anything silly to finish 11th.
The Frenchman can clinch the title if results go his way today, but he’s got a mountain to climb from 15th on the grid. Pecco has other ideas from P1, will the Italian make it two wins in two at Misano in 2021?
It goes without saying: do not miss the first match point Sunday of 2021! The MotoGP™ race kicks off at 14:00 local time (GMT+2) – tune in.
