Foggia 0.7s clear, title leader Acosta sixth

The in-form Italian set a blistering pace in the opening Free Practice session of the weekend in Portimao

Moto3™’s in-form man Dennis Foggia (Leopard Racing) was by far the fastest rider out of the blocks in FP1 at the Grande Prémio Brembo do Algarve, the Italian setting a 1:48.296 to sit 0.752s clear of second place Stefano Nepa (BOE Owlride). Filip Salač (CarXpert PrüstelGP) picked up P3, the Czech rider also 0.7s down on Foggia’s pace.

Andrea Migno (Rivacold Snipers Team) and John McPhee (Petronas Sprinta Racing) rounded out the top five in FP1, with title-chasing Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) sixth – 0.8s shy of rival Foggia’s time on Friday morning.
