After topping the Mandalika Test back in February, Pol Espargaro (Repsol Honda Team) has come out the blocks fastest in MotoGP™ FP1 at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, thanks to a late 1:33.499. The Spaniard was 0.044s quicker than second fastest Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) and 0.079s ahead of teammate Marc Marquez, as the premier class get plenty of slick tyre running under their belts on Friday morning.

The heavy morning downpour in Lombok meant the Moto3™ and Moto2™ sessions were mostly run on wet weather tyres, but the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit was dry enough at the start of MotoGP™ FP1 for the riders to head straight out on Michelin slicks. Franco Morbidelli (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) and Johann Zarco (Pramac Racing) completed the top five in the opening 45-minute stint, 0.9s split the top 10.
A bit of wide-eyed moment for @jackmilleraus! ????
