Sasaki remains at the top after damp P3

Damp conditions meant the order stays in same in Moto3™ - Fenati shows untouchable pace in tricky conditions

Damp conditions during Saturday morning's Practice 3 meant the Moto3™ combined times remained the same, but in the tricky conditions, it was Romano Fenati (Rivacold Snipers Team) who had the strongest wet-weather feel, setting the fastest time of the session with a 1:53.875. Kaito Toba (SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo) joined the Italian in the top 3 of P3. Going into qualifying it is still however Ayumu Sasaki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP), Diogo Moreira (MT Helmets - MSI), and Jaume Masia (Leopard Racing) who lead the way on combined times after Friday's dry running.

Ogden was the first to find the grip in tricky conditions and led the way early on in the session. With under 10 minutes to go Öncü then hit the circuit and moved the goalposts once again smashing Ogden's time by one second putting in the first 1:55 and then the first 1:54 just one lap later. In the dying moments of the session, the timing screens were lighting up once again with hot laps all around. Fenati then set his blistering lap time with Moreira and Toba slotting themselves into the top 3 right at the end.

The attention now turns to qualifying for the Moto3™ runners and riders. The likes of Sasaki, Moreira, and Masia already have their spots confirmed in Q2, and will be battling out for pole position. Equally, the Portuguese Grand Prix winner Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Ajo) will be eager to continue his success as he finished Friday in 10th place, securing himself a Q2 spot.

Riders to keep your eye on in Q1 will be Deniz Öncü who found himself just shy of a Q2 spot on Friday in 15th spot, as well as the rookie sensation Jose Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo), and Romano Fenati who will all be battling out for Q2 glory and their shot at pole position.

Qualifying for Moto3™ will commence at 12:50 local time (GMT -3) so make sure not to miss any of the action on motogp.com!
