ＢＫ８・グレシーニ・レーシングは、５月１８日に第６戦カタルーニャＧＰのグランプリレースで転倒したアレックス・マルケスが搬送されたバルセロナ－カタルーニャ・サーキット近郊の病院で骨折した右鎖骨の手術を受け、無事に成功したと発表。
日曜日に骨折部を固定するためにプレートを挿入する手術を受け、術後の経過が順調なら、月曜日の午後に退院。第７頸椎の辺緑（へんえん）骨折は近日中に精密検査を受ける予定。
