Di Meglio stepped up to the premier class in 2014 after 11 seasons of smaller category participation. The highlight of the Frenchman’s career to date was his 2008 125cc World title, though since 2009 he had been riding in the intermediate class, without great success. In 2013 he suffered a fractured coccyx at Brno in a heavy Moto2™ crash which ended his season early. But Di Meglio was nonetheless signed to ride in MotoGP™ alongside Hector Barbera in the Avintia Racing team in 2014 and he remained with the team in 2015, equipped with a Ducati. Then he switched to the FIM Endurance World Championship and was a frontrunner, and in 2018 he also made some appearances in WorldSSP. For 2019 he joined EG 0,0 Marc VDS in MotoE™ and claimed a podium and victory in the opening two rounds. A title challenge didn't materialise though, but Di Meglio and EG 0,0 Marc VDS will have another crack at it in 2020.
