The work doesn’t stop for Marquez, the seven-time World Champion has three HRC machines at his disposal today in Barcelona, with Michelin bringing three different types of rear tyres for the riders to try. These are: a hard rear compound, a rear casing specifically designed for Thailand and Austria, plus a new rear casing that is aimed at increasing performance. The riders have one each of this tyre in a soft or medium.
24 riders are out putting in the laps today, with the top 15 currently split by just 0.7 seconds. Keep up with the lap times with Live Timing and keep an eye out for videos and an end of day report later on.
