Marquez and Pedrosa visit Tokyo for end of season celebration

Repsol Honda Team pair Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa have visited Tokyo after being invited to Japan by Honda to mark another successful year for the manufacturer.

After participating in the MotoGP™ test in Valencia last week, and following a big party in his home town of Cervera (Lleida, Spain) to celebrate his 2014 premier class World title and that of his brother Alex in Moto3™, the MotoGP™ World Champion and teammate Pedrosa made the trip to Japan. There they participated in an annual event which HRC organizes at the end of the season with riders from various racing disciplines.

The Repsol Honda duo were joined at the ceremony by trial riders Toni Bou and Takahisa Fujinami along with Japanese Motocross Championship participants Akira Narita, Makoto Ogata, Toshiki Tomita and Masami Tanaka.

"Honda invited us to come. They also wanted to celebrate the title with us and, of course, its an honour to do that here in their country,” said Marquez.

He is unable to participate in the annual ‘Honda Racing Thanks Day’ to be held by HRC on 23rd November at Twin Ring Motegi due to his commitment to attend the FIM Gala - to be held on the same date - this Sunday night in Jerez de la Frontera.
