Sky Racing Team VR46 2015 launch

Sky Racing Team VR46 2015 launch

Valentino Rossi’s home town of Tavulia was the scene of the Sky Racing Team VR46 launch ahead of the 2015 Moto3™ season.

The team, which was formed last year as a partnership between the nine-time World Champion and Sky Italy, unveiled their new livery and outlined their ambitions for the 2015 season along with confirming that they will once again be using the KTM RC 250 GP to mount their title challenge.

Romano Fenati returns for his second season in the team, and will be considered as a serious title contender after taking four wins and finishing 5th overall last year. He will be joined by Andrea Migno who will be taking part in his first full season in Moto3™, and a new manager in the form of Pablo Nieto who had previously spent 3 seasons in charge of the Laglisse team with which he won the 2013 Moto3™ Championship.

Romano Fenati: "I am excited to start the championship Moto3 in 2015 again with the Sky Racing Team VR46. The new bike is an evolution of the 2014 version, so it is quite similar, but we are still working hard to try to get 100% of its potential. We want to arrive in Qatar ready and competitive. My goal this season will to be as consistent as possible to try to improve on my results from 2014.  We are a close-knit team and I hope that this championship will be even more fun than before. "

Pablo Nieto: "We will have to give all my best to put Fenati and Migno in position to win. Romano must find continuity and consistency, while Andrea must learn the circuits and basically have fun on the bike. Right now we are at 75%, but our KTM has potential. The important 'get to the top for the first race in Qatar. "
