 Zarco responds to head Moto2™ FP3

Moto2™ Championship leader Johann Zarco recovers from being fifth fastest on the first day to set the fastest time so far to top FP3.

Ajo Motorsport’s Johann Zarco responded to his Championship rivals in FP3 to become the only man to break the 1'43 barrier in Jerez. The Frenchman set a 1’42.875 to knock Thomas Luthi (+0.209s) on the Derendinger Racing Interwetten Kalex into second.

Reigning Moto2™ Champion Tito Rabat continued his strong showing in Jerez to complete the provisional front row in third on the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Racing machine. QMMF Racing Team’s Julian Simon was the leading Speed Up bike in fourth, ahead of Athina Forward Racing’s Simone Corsi.

AGR Team’s Axel Pons continued his encouraging return form injury in sixth, ahead of Alex Rins (7th), Sam Lowes (8th), Luis Salom (9th) and his teammate Jonas Folger in tenth.
