Luthi sets the pace in Moto2™ FP3

The Derendinger Racing Intewetten rider finished at the top of the time sheets ahead of Johann Zarco.

Thomas Luthi set a 1'37.746 time in the final Moto2 Free Practice session before qualifying, denying Johann Zarco (Ajo Motorsport) the top spot in front of his home crowd by just 0.050 sec.

British rider Sam Lowes (Speed Up Racing) ended in fifth position.

Spaniard Tito Rabat dominated proceedings in FP1 & FP2, but in FP3 he had to settle for third place on the time sheets. The Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS rider put in a 1'37.894 lap, slower than his best time yesterday. That left Tito's compatriot Álex Rins (Páginas Amarillas HP 40) in fourth.

Julián Simón (QMMF Racing Team) came in sixth behind Lowes, 0.224 off the pace set by Luthi. Franco Morbidelli (Italtrans Racing Team), Takaaki Nakagami (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia), Jonas Folger (AGR Team) & Randy Krummenacher (JIR Moto2) complete the top ten.

The Qualifying session session for the Moto2 riders starts at 15:05 local time.
