Pedrosa Blog: Confidence gained

One of the most important things is that my arm gets better every day, and that lets me focus on everything else…

In his official blog for, Dani Pedrosa gives us his verdict on the Italian GP:

Hey everyone,

We return from Mugello with overall good vibes. One of the most important things is that my arm gets better every day, and that lets me focus on everything else: on my riding, on the race… That’s the best sign, of course.

The weekend was busy, but not as much as others. As usual, the fans came out en masse to Mugello, a great atmosphere! Generally, it’s not easy to sleep, with the partying at night, but all the riders definitely appreciate their enthusiasm.

Before beginning the GP I had the opportunity to do an interview for English television in the final stretch. Also, a newspaper had a photo session with the road bikes that was very entertaining. I took my Pinarello and a lot of riders that train on bicycle joined the photo.

In the timed session on Friday, we had some setbacks, but we were able to get everything sorted out on time for Saturday’s session and have a good finish. In the race, to tell you the truth, the start wasn’t too good. But I was able to gain ground, and I felt that I maintained a good pace, especially at certain times. We were able to fight for the podium, though in the end we lacked a little “extra push” to clinch third place. This result gives me more confidence leading up to Montmelo.

Of course there are some things that we have to improve upon and we are working hard to identify what these specific aspects. Just yesterday we had a long test day, that, logically, we took advantage of to work on that line.

I’m really happy about the good vibes that we have on the team, better every day. They did a great job, and I feel very comfortable and confident by their side. This is something that is very important, especially in the pit.

The race at home, before all of you, is coming up very soon. Within a week I’ll tell you how things are going, but honestly I can’t wait for it to be here. I hope that you all come to support us! On our part, I guarantee you that we will give it our all to give you a real spectacle.

The question of the week:

Would you have liked to have had a GP in Indonesia? Would you do something special with your fans? I hope you can respond to the question. Good luck Dani, we’ve always got your back. Question from Meri26.

Hey Meri26,

The truth is that I would love it if there were a GP in Indonesia. I’ve been there a few times. I loved the country and in particular the fan base. I hope to be back with my fans from Indonesia soon as they’re quite passionate and love MotoGP.

Best wishes,
