Hernandez: “With the front there was never a great feeling”

The Motul TT Assen was a disappointing race for Yonny Hernandez, despite returning to the points after a crash in Barcelona.

Starting in 14th place on the grid, Yonny Hernandez (Octo Pramac Racing) had work to do during Saturday’s race. Unfortunately the Columbian could not improve on his position during the race, finishing in 14th. Hernandez had a brief battle with Scott Redding (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Racing Team) but couldn’t maintain the pace of the British rider to the end. Small problems with the set up of his Ducati machine led to an overall disappointing result for Hernandez and the team.

With both Octo Pramac Racing riders scoring points the team maintain their sixth place in the team standings. Meanwhile Hernandez sits 14th in the Championship, two points behind Scott Redding.

Yonny Hernandez: “It has been a difficult weekend. I could not find the pace to be competitive. Especially with the front there was never a great feeling. In the warm up I turned well but in the race I didn't manage to be fast. I hope to be more competitive during next race. We should have been perfect to be competitive during this weekend race, but unfortunately we didn't managed to solve some problems.”
