Moto3™ race guide for the #GermanGP

Check out these useful facts and figures ahead of the Moto3™ race at the GoPro Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland.

  • Danny Kent starts from pole for the third time in 2015. Kent could become the first British rider to win a lightweight-class (125cc/Moto3) grand prix at the Sachsenring since Dave Simmonds won around the original road circuit in 1969, the year he won the world title – the last British rider to win the light-weight- class world championship.

  • Kent is the first Honda rider to qualify on pole in the lightweight-class at the Sachsenring since Andrea Dovizioso in 2004. Honda have not won a lightweight-class grand prix in Germany since Marco Melandri won the 125cc GP at the Sachsenring in 1999.

  • Enea Bastianini, who crashed last year in Germany on the first lap, is on the front row for the third successive race.

  • Karel Hanika has qualified on the front row for the second time in his grand prix career – his only other front row start was two weeks ago at Assen.

  • Fabio Quartararo heads the second row of the grid – his best qualifying result since he was on pole at Le Mans.

  • Efren Vazquez is in fifth place on the grid, which is his best qualifying result since he was the fourth fastest qualifier in Argentina.

  • Jorge Martin heads the third row of the grid – his best qualifying so far in his rookie season in grand prix racing. This is the best qualifying result by a Mahindra rider since the French GP.

The Moto3™ race at the Sachsenring circuit is due to start at 11:00 local time.
