Hey guys,

I’ve not checked-in in a while, but it feels like a good time to now after the first half of the season has been completed! Like normal you always want more, but so far this year has been very positive for us and the potential is even higher than we have shown! Sachsenring was a really tough race for me in 2014 so to come away with 5th position and 11 points this year, even though it was our worst result of the season so far, was a positive weekend.

The summer break came at a good time for us, and its nice to relax and recharge the batteries ready for the second half of the year. The team is working very hard to keep improving and so am I. Therefore, I’m looking at second half of the season in a good way and will focus on trying to close the gap to Zarco, who has been awesome in the first nine races.

I will mainly be training and relaxing in the three weeks off during the summer break, with some off-road riding and pit bike action thrown in! Also I will be playing some golf, which is very different from racing, but I really enjoy it.

I thoroughly enjoyed Indianapolis last year, considering it was my first time there, so I will be hoping to get back on the podium to kick off the second half of the season in the best possible way.

We are currently third in the Moto2™ World Championship and not too far away from second. My focus is still to try and win the title and I know it won’t be easy. We need to start taking points from Zarco and Rabat, so I am working hard and staying focused on improving to allow me to take the steps I need to do this.

There’s lots going on for next year and the future, but right now I’m just working on finishing this season in the best way possible and letting my manager Roger Burnett deal with that side of things. We have made a big improvement from 2014 and given its only my second season in Grand Prix racing I am happy where we are, but know we need to make another step. So far I’m really enjoying this season and can’t wait for Indianapolis.

I will check-in again after the next couple of races!

Stay “On-it”
