Pedrosa: “I’ve been continuing my recuperation on my arm”

Pedrosa: “I’ve been continuing my recuperation on my arm”

A season best result at the German GP gave Pedrosa a much needed confidence boost ahead of the summer break.

Repsol Honda have classically gone well at the Indianapolis GP, having won the race for the last five years. Of those five victories Dani Pedrosa has won twice, once in 2010 and again in 2012 along with podiums in 2011 and 2013. After his second place at the Sachsenring no doubt Pedrosa is brimming with confidence and looking to repeat his German performance, if not go one better.

The beginning of 2015 saw Pedrosa battle with arm pump, forcing him to miss several rounds and the three week summer break allowed the Spaniard to continue his rehabilitation. A majority of Pedrosa’s time away from racing was spent at his home in Geneva where he focused on training and preparing for the famous Brickyard. With 67 points Pedrosa is seventh in the championship, 20 behind Bradley Smith (Monster Yamaha Tech 3).

Dani Pedrosa: "I feel relaxed and ready for the second half of the season after this brief Summer break. We enjoyed a good end to the first half of the season with a good race in Germany and then a productive test in Misano. Then I headed home and enjoyed some time on Lake Geneva with some friends, taking some important time away from it all. Even though I’ve been relaxing I’ve been continuing my recuperation on my arm and then started to get back into my training to be ready for Indy this week. I’ve had pretty good results at Indy in the past so my aim is to arrive there and fight again for the victory. It can be difficult to setup the bike here with the varying grip levels so we will have to pay attention to this."
