Redding: “At the Sachsenring we definitely made a step”

With the second half of the season about to get underway, Redding is keen to continue making improvements on his Honda.

Despite falling on the first lap of the German GP, Scott Redding and his Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Racing team feel they’ve both made significant progress. All are eager to further assess the steps made at the Indianapolis circuit, a favourite of Redding who has claimed two third place finishes in previous years.

There’s little doubt that the start to 2015 has not been ideal for Redding, but the focus has now shifted to ending the year strong. Redding’s riding style has undergone major changes in order to get the most out of the RC213V. Finding a set up that allows Redding to lap consistently is now the major focus for the team.

Scott Redding: “I really like the Indianapolis circuit, especially with the changes they’ve made to make it more flowing. It’s always been one of my favourites on the MotoGP calendar. The summer break has given us the opportunity to think about the first half of the season; it wasn’t the start we wanted, but at the Sachsenring we definitely made a step, so I hope in Indy we can start where we left off and continue to make improvements to the bike, my lap time and my consistency. I actually feel more confident now I’ve had some time away from the paddock, so I’m looking forward to the weekend ahead.”
