Lowes: “I know I can do a good job in the race”

Lowes: “I know I can do a good job in the race”

Sam Lowes is feeling confident for the Moto2™ race at the Indianapolis GP despite only managing to qualify in seventh.

Speed Up Racing’s Lowes is still suffering from tonsillitis and managed to set his time despite a small front end crash during the session. The British rider, who is currently third in the Moto2™ World Championship standings, set a 1’37.038 to finish just 0.489s behind pole man Alex Rins. Lowes is confident he can put in a good performance in Sunday’s race and is looking forward to giving it his all.

Sam Lowes: “At the start of Qualifying I felt really good, then we went for the final push and I changed for a new tyre, but I had no grip and could not improve my lap time. I am not worried, as our race pace is good and I know I can do a good job in the race. Thanks to my team, tomorrow will be a good day!”
