Redding: “We left Indianapolis a little frustrated”

A less than ideal weekend for Redding in Indianapolis has him hoping the weather stays dry at the bwin Grand Prix České republiky,

The back to back Indianapolis and Brno rounds of the MotoGP™ World Championship means there’s no rest for riders or teams after the summer break, straight back to work. Some, such as Scott Redding (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Narc VDS Racing), are more than pleased with the immediate turn around in order to overcome a frustrating Indianapolis round. After a promising start to the weekend Redding was only able to finish 13th in Sunday’s race.

Despite the difficult season, Redding and his crew are maintaining high spirits and already have a variety of changes to try at the Czech GP this weekend. Temperatures are expected to approach 40°C on all three days which may could play havoc with track conditions. Perhaps more worrying is the potential for a thunderstorm on race day, although this may play into the hands of Redding as wet races are said to level the difference between bikes.

Scott Redding: “It looks like we’re heading into a similar situation to Indianapolis this weekend, with extremely hot weather on Friday and Saturday and the possibility of a thunderstorm just to keep us guessing on Sunday. We had some problems on race day in Indianapolis, despite using a similar set up to the Sachsenring where I was strong, but we already have some ideas as to where we can improve this weekend in Brno, which is a very different track. We left Indianapolis a little frustrated but, like always, we will continue working hard to improve our results in Brno this weekend.”
