#CzechGP: MotoGP™ Race Guide

All of the vitals stats and information any fan needs to know ahead of the bwin Grand Prix České republiky.

The 22-lap race at the Automotodrom Brno is due to start at 14:00 local time:

  • Jorge Lorenzo starts from pole for the second time in 2015. Lorenzo has finished on the podium on the last twenty six occasions that he has started from pole position. Lorenzo has been the first Yamaha rider across the line in the MotoGP™ race at Brno for the last five years.

  • Marc Marquez starts from the front row for the ninth time in 2015.  Marquez finished fourth at Brno last year – the only time in 2014 that he did not finish on the podium in a race where he did not crash.

  • Valentino Rossi starts from the front row for the second time in 2015. This is only the 16th time that Rossi has started from the front row in his last 100 MotoGP™ starts.

  • Andrea Iannone, who heads the second row of the grid, has been the first Ducati rider across the line at the last five races.

  • Bradley Smith is in fifth place on the grid – his best qualifying result since he was fourth fastest qualifier in Australia last year. Smith is on a run of sixteen successive point scoring finishes.

  • Andrea Dovizioso is in sixth place on the grid, which is his best qualifying position since the Catalunya grand prix. Dovizioso has not finished in the top eight at the last five successive races.

  • Maverick Viñales heads the third row of the grid and is the highest placed Suzuki in qualifying for the second successive race. Viñales has scored points in all of the first ten races of his rookie season in the MotoGP™ class.

  • Pol Espargaro is in the middle of the third row, making it all four Yamaha riders in the top eight places of the grid for the first time this year.

  • Dani Pedrosa, the winner at Brno last year, starts from ninth place on the grid – his worst qualifying result since he was in ninth place on the grid at Le Mans last year.

  • Cal Crutchlow is in tenth place on the grid at the circuit where he took his first MotoGP™ podium finish in 2012.

  • Hector Barbera is in eleventh place on the grid – the best qualifying result so far in 2015 for an Open Class rider.
