Pedrosa Blog: Already thinking about Britain

Luck was not on our side on Friday in the Czech Republic, a pity given that it affected the rest of the GP for us…

In his latest official blog for Dani Pedrosa is already looking ahead to the Octo British Grand prix:

Hi everyone,

We’re already back from Brno after two very demanding weeks involving two Grand Prix events in a row.

Luck was not on our side on Friday in Czech, a pity given that it affected the rest of the GP for us. During the free practice sessions, the front fork broke, and I fell to the ground in turn 14, hitting my left foot quite hard.

On Saturday, I was in pain riding the bike. Due to my limited movement with my foot, I had to adapt and change my riding style. The qualifying session didn’t go so well for us because of this, so on Sunday we started from quite far back on the grid and had to try to climb up spots.

I didn’t have as great a start as I would’ve wanted. I was pushed back a few spots and immediately knew that we would have to do our best to come back. The front part of the bike gave us some trouble, and I wasn’t feeling great. Even so, I was able to climb a few spots until I reached the Ducati riders. It gave me time to engage in a great duel with Dovizioso, and in the end I was able to overtake him in the last lap.

As I said, given the circumstances I think we made a good comeback, but it was a tough weekend. I’m very thankful for my physiotherapist, the guys at Clinica Mobile and my entire team. They’ve all made a great effort so that both me and my bike were at our best throughout the weekend. This comeback wouldn’t have been possible without them.

Now I’m eager to get to Britain at 100% and get back in the fight for a place on the podium. I hope to bring you and them the joy you all deserve.

Question of the week:

Do you listen to music before the races? Who’s your favourite group/singer? Question from Laura26

Hello Laura!

During the weekend I usually listen to relaxing instrumental music. It helps me to stay focused.

Best wishes,
