Kent: “The atmosphere is going to be great”

The lead of the Moto3™ World Championship is firmly in Danny Kent’s hands as he heads home for the Octo British Grand Prix.

Leopard Racing’s Danny Kent has endured two tough rounds, taking a significant hit to his championship lead as a result of extreme circumstances and some bad luck. The 21 year old Brit remains confident though, in both races Kent demonstrated that he had the pace to battle for the podium had it not been for the bad luck. With just one trip to England in a MotoGP™ season, this is Kent’s only chance to hear the roar of home fans as he crosses the line and he’s keen to make the most of it.

Kent is ready to show the other Moto3™ riders his dominating form from the start of the season and reassert his position. The mix of fast and flowing alongside the tighter sections of Silverstone should suit Kent and his Honda well. Silverstone’s layout has hints of Austin with this mix and earlier in the year Kent claimed a dominating 8.5 second win.

Danny Kent: “I’m really looking forward to my home Grand Prix. The atmosphere is going to be great, as we’re going into it leading the world championship, so I’m feeling happy and ready for the upcoming weekend which of course will be a busy one for me too. Silverstone is a track I enjoy very much and I’m looking forward to getting back out on this fast and flowing circuit with my Honda. We lost 21 points to our main rival Enea Bastianini in the last two race so we need to work hard and try to extend our championship lead again! I really look forward to the challenge.”
