Jorge Martin put his Mahindra on top of the pile in Saturday's Free Practice 3 ahead of Karel Hanika and Jorge Navarro.

Moto3™ Free Practice 3 kicked off Saturday's action at Silverstone for the Octo British Grand Prix and it was Mapfre Team Mahindra’s Jorge Martin who went quickest in a session that incredibly saw just 0.162s separate the top 6 riders.

On a warm and dry morning (Track temp. 17˚C) at Silverstone the Spaniard left it late to set a 2’13.785. Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Karel Hanika was just 0.022s further back in second, with Jorge Navarro (+0.057s) on the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Honda in third.

Leopard Racing’s championship leader Danny Kent (+0.131s) finished in fourth as he continues to make up for lost time after being forced to miss the whole of FP1 with technical issues. Navarro’s teammate, 16-year-old Fabio Quartararo (+0.150s) was fifth fastest, just 0.015s ahead of Niccolo Antonelli on the Ongetta-Rivacold Honda in sixth.

Kent’s teammate Efren Vazquez set the seventh fastest time ahead of Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Scotsman John McPhee (SAXOPRINT-RTG) and Francesco Bagnaia (+0.982s) completed the top ten.

British wildcards Taz Taylor (RS Racing) and Luke Hedger (FPW Racing) found themselves in 34th and 36th respectively.
