Pedrosa: “I have to get a good start”

Dani Pedrosa knows a good start will be crucial to allow him to challenge for the race win at the Octo British Grand Prix.

Repsol Honda’s Pedrosa completed and all Spanish front row after setting a 2’07.716. Pedrosa was just 0.482s behind the pace of his teammate Marc Marquez on pole as he secured his fourth front row start of the season.

The Spaniard will be chasing his first win of the season come Sunday’s race and although he is seventh in the standings, he could still play a vital role in deciding where the 2015 MotoGP title ends up.

Dani Pedrosa: “I'm happy because the goal was to be on the front row. It is always important to start well in the first few corners and I hope to catch up with Marc and Jorge. We will be watching the weather, because it is difficult to control the temperature of the tires. Marc's pace has been very good; I'm a little further behind on used tires, but let's see how the weather is tomorrow and what we can do. I have to get a good start and take the opening corners well, in order to stay with the front group.”
