Rins: “I felt comfortable, safe and strong”

Rins: “I felt comfortable, safe and strong”

Another strong performance from Moto2™ rookie Alex Rins who again starts from the front row of the grid.

On five previous occasions in 2015, Paginas Amarillas HP 40’s has started on the front row of the Moto2™ World Championship grid and in the previous four races he has had successive podiums. Truly 2015 has been a stunning year for the newest addition to the Moto2™ grid and Rins looks set to continue his incredible form. Throughout much of Qualifying it had been between rookie Rins and championship leader Johann Zarco (Ajo Motorsport) for pole with the experienced Frenchmen gaining the upper hand at the critical moment.

Rins is well placed to battle for the victory on Sunday, but with the likes of Zarco and also Tito Rabat (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Racing) flanking him on the front row, it will be a hard battle. Rins leads Rabat by just three points in the world championship standings and will be eager to extend his lead, a victory in Sunday’s race the best way to do so.

Alex Rins: “We came out very strong in Qualifying, we were eager and went fast from the start. The most important thing is that we set a strong pace right away, lap-by-lap I felt comfortable, safe and strong. Tomorrow is the most important and hopefully it will be fun. We are prepared to battle for victory.”
