Lowes: “I felt really good on the bike”

Sam Lowes is delighted after finding a good setup on his Speed Up bike on the opening day of the Gran Premio Movistar de Aragon.

Speed Up Racing’s British rider was quickest in FP1 after setting a 1’53.700 in the morning session. As the temperature rose in the afternoon, he decided to focus on used tyres and longer runs in an effort to work on his setup for Sundays race. Lowes still managed to improve to set a 1.53.541 to end the day fifth fastest on the overall timesheets.

Sam Lowes: “Very happy with today! I felt really good on the bike. We worked mainly on the hard tyre and longer runs! There are some things to improve in the morning but I am excited to get at it tomorrow! In general the feeling is positive.”
