Bendsneyder: “I feel more comfortable and faster”

A steady start for Moto3™ rookie Bo Bendsneyder as he adapts to the World Championship KTM in Valencia.

The Red Bull KTM Ajo team participated in a two-day test along with several other Moto3™ and Moto2™ teams in Valencia, the Ajo squad continuing their testing program from Jerez the week before. These two tests were critical for Bo Bendsneyder who moves up from the Red Bull Rookies Cup to the World Championship in 2016. While both the Rookies Cup and World Championship bikes are KTM machines, the factory Ajo bike has more power and significantly more areas to adjust. Excellent weather conditions in Valencia gave Bendsneyder a chance to complete 151 laps on his new bike and set competitive times.

There’s still room to improve for the Dutch rider, especially with new tyres. Fortunately there are several more tests before the 2016 season begins and Bendsneyder will be back on track in February after the winter break. During his time off Bendsneyder plans to focus on his fitness training as well as his schooling.

Bo Bendsneyder: “These two days of testing went very well, despite me being a little sick. Monday was a little more difficult because I was riding at a new circuit, with a bike that is practically new to me. However, today we improved a lot with both the setup and my lap times. We must continue working and improving, because we have plenty of room to do so -especially with new tyres. I'm very happy with how 2015 has ended, because I was able to put in a lot of laps and, step-by-step, I feel more comfortable and faster. Now I am going to focus on school, supermoto and fitness training."
