Another great performance as the SIC Day events settles into its new format in Misano.
A weekend of celebration provided great entertainment for the audience who attended, witnessing close racing that pleased both the fans and the riders battling it out on the Flat Track circuit.
After a series of practices, qualifiers and heat races, the finals saw French Supermoto World Champion Thomas Chareyre, who over the two days was able to gradually improve his feeling with the track to close in on the leaders, took the Sunday victory ahead of Andrea Dovizioso who came second with a fourth place in the first race and win in the second.
Third place and rounding out the podium was 12-time Italian champion Ivan Lazzarini, who despite his recent farewell to the racing world, was able to battle with great determination. He finished second in the opening round.
Fourth was Austrian Supermoto specialist Lukas Hollbacher who won the Saturday races. Fifth was Moto2™’s Mattia Pasini who again showed well.
The show in Misano was not only limited to motorcycles, throughout the circuit there were cars on track, rally races, karting events, drift challenges and exhibitions, offering a wide variety of spectacle for the fans.
