Oliveira: “We have tried many things”

Work continues for Moto2™ rookie Miguel Oliveira at the Valencia circuit, having now completed four days of testing in 2016.

Leopard Racing completed two more intense work filled days at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Cheste during a private test for several Moto2™ and Moto3™ teams. It was a vital test for Miguel Oliveira as the Moto3™ runner-up adapts to the intermediate class, adapting to the increased weight and power of the bikes. Despite having tested in Barcelona just days before, this was the first time that Oliveira and teammate Danny Kent were able to compare themselves to their 2016 rivals. Conditions were less than ideal with cool conditions and high winds, but Oliveira was able to gather data and provide feedback for his team before the season gets underway in Qatar.

Miguel Oliveira: “We have not changed much, we started with the basic setting of Barcelona. We have tried many things despite the fact we lost a little time with tires. I'm focused more on riding style, to move myself closer to the Moto2 style: for example, in the entrance to the curve. The tires will be the most important aspect to understand. All in all we are satisfied with the achieved time."
