Cortese: “We are heading the right way”

A satisfied Sandro Cortese leaves private testing in Valencia confident with progress made on his new Öhlins suspension.

Entering his fourth season in the Moto2™ World Championship, Sandro Cortese is more determined than ever to bring his Dynavolt Intact GP team strong results. The German completed 115 laps of the Valencia circuit across two days of testing and made steady progress in several areas despite cold conditions and high winds. A major area of focus was on new forks and springs from Öhlins, Cortese reported an improved feeling and was happy with the new parts. Cortese and teammate Jonas Folger now head to Jerez for more testing on the 14th and 15th of February.

Sandro Cortese: “We worked very hard on the set up and have seen many improvements compared to the first day. I am very satisfied with being able to complete another 70 laps today. I think we are heading the right way and have made a very good experience with Öhlins so far. It was a successful first test without any crashes, which leaves me confident. I am looking forward to Jerez where we are on a very tight schedule, hence why it was great to be able to sort through some important aspects already.”
