Di Giannantonio: “I have still to learn from the fastest”

Moto3™ World Championship rookie, Fabio Di Giannantonio completes two days of testing aboard the Honda he will campaign 2016 on.

Former Red Bull Rookie front-runner, Fabio Di Giannantonio, ended two days private testing in Valencia with great progress made and over 70 laps completed on the second day. The first day of the test was unfortunately hit by rain in the afternoon, but before the rain came Di Giannantonio was pleased to be able to get back on his motorcycle after a long winter away. After just a few outings together, both rider and team are working well together and feel they’ve found a good base setting for the Honda NSF250RW, especially regarding the front of the bike.

Fabio Di Giannantonio: “Today I was able to put in a lot of laps and I managed to get a good lap time: overall it’s been a very good day! We tried different things on the bike and we can say that we have already found a good direction. Obviously I need to continue to gain more confidence and I have still to learn from the fastest, but I’m satisfied with the progress made in this first test of the year. In particular, we were looking for a better feeling on the front end and, working alongside HRC technicians, we found a good base. Too bad only for the strong wind that slowed us in the final part of the day”.
