Redding: “The feelings are good”

Scott Redding left the Phillip Island test full of confidence after improving rear traction on his Ducati GP15.

Redding completed 61 laps on the third and final day, setting his fastest time of the test at the end of the day on his 57th lap. This meant that he ended the day in 11th and secured 12th overall on the combined timesheets from the three days. His time was just 0.764s off the fastest man at the test Maverick Viñales (Team Suzuki Ecstar) and bodes well for the Brit as he continues his adjustment to the Ducati.

Redding will be back on track in Qatar for the final preseason test that takes place between the 2nd-4th March.

Scott Redding: “These three days have been positive although it was difficult to find consistency due to the particular weather conditions. Today it was difficult to set a good lap time because I had only a few hard tires left and every time I tried the soft I did not feel confident with the front. However, we have improved traction and this was an important goal. The feelings are good and I'm looking forward to being in Qatar. I want to wish Danilo a fast recovery. I hope he comes back soon and will be already on track for the first race in Qatar.”
