Baldassarri: “I want to be well prepared”

Two successful days of testing come to an end for Lorenzo Baldassarri in Jerez ahead of official testing.

After a strong end to the 2015 season, Lorenzo Baldassarri is quickly asserting himself as a threat yet again in 2016 as the Italian was inside the top two on both days. A 1’42.620 was the Forward Team rider’s best time, putting him a quarter of a second down on Simone Corsi (Speed Up) in the overall times. Not only was this time faster than the 2015 Moto2™ pole time but it is also an improvement of over a second on Baldassarri’s own time from Qualifying. The Italian and his team will be back at the Jerez circuit from the second to fourth of March for the first official test of the season.

Lorenzo Baldassarri: “I'm very happy, we were often in front and we have improved one step at a time. The feeling with the rear has increased but I think we still have much work to do before the season starts. I want to be well prepared and not to leave anything to chance."
