Danilo: “We have a quite clear idea”

A successful private two-day test in Jerez for Jules Danilo who ends fourth fastest overall.

Having first tried his new Honda in a private Valencia test, Jules Danilo was able to get back out for more valuable track time in Jerez as he and his Ongetta-Rivacold team learn the new bike. So far the shift has gone better than expected and the test in Jerez provided two full days of data gathering and setup exploration. The young French rider worked hard on improving his weak points and set a best time of 1’47.786 during his 104 laps over the two days. This time is already an improvement from his 2015 time as Danilo aims for a season with a steady flow of points.

Jules Danilo: “I am really happy as today we tried lot of things on the front and mainly on the rear and now we have a quite clear idea about this new bike. I learnt a lot today, I kept a good pace and I feel satisfied. In the last session I did also a good lap time and reduced a little bit the gap from the top. So, it was a good day and next week we will continue to work to improve again."
