Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 launches 2016 campaign

Sam Lowes pulled the covers of his new Kalex Moto2™ machine on Friday at the Gresini headquarters in Faenza.

The twentieth Grand Prix racing season of Gresini Racing officially started today with the presentation of the 2016 racing programs for the Moto2™ and Moto3™ World Championships, held inside the new racing department of the team in Faenza, Italy.

With regard to the intermediate class, the Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 Team celebrated the fifth year of collaboration with Federal Oil revealing the new livery of the Kalex Moto2™ machine with which 25-year-old British rider Sam Lowes will ride.

The Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 will be back in action next week at Jerez for three days of official tests, ahead of the final pre-season testing session in Qatar, on the same track that will host on March 20 the Grand Prix season opener.

Sam Lowes: “Having the presentation inside the new racing department of the team was exciting: the bike in the new colours is great, the design is really very nice and aggressive. Having presented the team also means that the start of the season is getting closer and are therefore I’m doubly pleased. The tests that we have carried out so far have been very positive: the team has worked really well and there is also a nice atmosphere, so I expect a fantastic season. Our goal is clear: we are aiming for the title, so I hope we can continue our preseason preparation in the best possible way and immediately get a good result in Qatar, to start the Championship on the right foot.”
