SKY Racing Team VR46 continue with young talent

The all-Italian team continue to work on raising young talent in the World Championship, revealing their 2016 livery.

In 2016 the SKY Racing Team VR46 grows to three riders, Nicolò Bulega joining Andrea Migno and Romano Fenati in the Valentino Rossi backed team. The team, founded in 2014, focuses on developing young Italian talent to battle towards the front in the Moto3™ World Championship.

After five wins and nine podium finishes in their first two seasons, Sky Racing Team VR46 now set their eyes on the title with Fenati leading the charge while Migno and rookie Bulega continue to learn. Experienced team manager Pablo Nieto will be critical in uniting the teams and forging ahead.

Once again the team will run the successful KTM RC 250GP machine with full support from KTM in Mattighofen, Austria.

Romano Fenati: “The Sky Racing Team VR46 is a second family, the atmosphere is friendly and there is trust and confidence. You race and you work hard but there’s also time to fool around. I feel like the older brother, this year there is a little more responsibility, it’s important to set a good example for Bulega. The title would be a moral victory. I feel ready. It will be a competitive league.”

Andrea Migno: “The Sky Racing Team VR46 is a professional team, everyone works for everyone. We are like a chain and when there is a weakness, we improve. I hope it’s a good year, I know all the tracks and this will give me an extra advantage over those who have never been there. I will not leave anything to chance and will always give 100%, from the first round on Friday until the race on Sunday.”

Nicolò Bulega: “Racing with Sky Racing Team VR46 is a great opportunity to grow and mature. We are a close group that works hard. Romano and Andrea are not just teammate or rivals: they are real friends. But your teammate is who you must beat first. Being in the World Championship is part of a dream come true. It would be complete, one day, to become a competitive rider in MotoGP. The first goal this year is to finish in the top 15. I will have to take a lot of experience from the first races. The hardest part? The tracks, there are many on which I have never raced and I will have to adapt quickly.”
