Dovizioso happy with Q2 and race pace

Ducati Team rider satisfied with qualifying performance and ready for battle at Misano

Andrea Dovizioso was pleased with his race pace on Saturday and also content to slot in on row two of the grid at the GP TIM di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini in front of the Italian fans.

The experienced Ducati Team competitor was sixth after FP3 in the morning and then also went on to qualify with the sixth fastest time in Q2 (1'32.677).

Andrea Dovizioso: “I am pleased with the results this afternoon, because this morning with the cooler temperatures I had lost the feeling. My race pace is very good even though many of us have similar lap times. Tomorrow I expect a tight race and it will be important to make a good start. I'm sorry for what happened to Andrea Iannone because I know how important it is to run at Misano for an Italian rider, but I'm also happy for the good performance of Michele Pirro, who is really going well.”
